“Swiss Army Knife of disinfection”

SpectraShield disinfectant solutions evolved from military technology originally developed by Sandia National Labs in New Mexico. This disinfection solution combined a number of mission-critical capabilities – long shelf life, no special handling or transport, low toxicity, low corrosion, bio-degradable, a formula that could be used and deployed in a variety of ways. Bucket and mop, trigger spray bottle and rag, or any number of mechanical devices – electrostatic sprayer, ULV, foam or fog. This Swiss Army Knife of disinfection is available for commercial and personal use as SpectraKill - SpectraKill RTU, DF-500 and DF-200.

The legacy chemical disinfectants we have relied on: bleach, ammonia, chlorine, and phenols achieve their success by essentially poisoning microorganisms to death. But, that disinfection success came with a toxic cost because these same chemicals are also poisonous to people and the environment. This military technology is different, it kills at the subatomic level by extracting electrons (oxidation) from the microbe’s cellular structure and renders the targeted organism ineffective, while the disinfectant itself breaks down to inert, biodegradable matter, creating minimal environmental impact.

“Green Certified”

EPA Certified and Green Certified by the Green Clean Institute, the SpectraKill product line includes a Ready-To-Use, Category IV non-toxic (to humans) Green Certified (for the environment) yet still provides a 99.99% 4 log kill to Coronavirus, Rhinovirus and Norovirus. SpectraKill DF-500 is a 2-part (50/50 mix) from the Sandia formula that offers 6 log, 99.9999% efficacy, strong enough for hospital sterile environments like operating rooms or special procedure rooms, yet is still Green with low toxicity, low corrosion and is biodegradable. SpectraKill DF-200 is the most powerful version of SpectraKill that adds an accelerant to the 2-part version, creating a CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear), 7 log, 99.99999% kill.

“For 200 years, caustic bleach and chlorine has been the go-to chemical disinfectant. It is hazardous to you and your family and hazardous to our environment. SpectraShield Technologies is committed to sustainable disinfectants for the 21st Century. EPA Registered, patent pending, and industry-leading technology that is cost-effective.”
